ABOUT ROBERT KEYES

Robert Keyes is the embodiment of the American dream. Born and raised in poverty, Robert has worked to become one of Norman’s most successful businessmen. He is President and CEO of Associated Environmental Industries, an environmental drilling and construction company based in Norman. He and his wife, Sandy, have founded and co-founded multiple business ventures that have employed and still employ many Oklahomans.

Robert has earned an international reputation for excellence in the groundwater industry and was recently elected Treasurer for the National Groundwater Association. He serves as Chairman of the NGWA University, powered by Oklahoma State University, this program, with a global reach, mentors the next generation of groundwater specialists, ensuring that expertise and knowledge flow worldwide, while directly benefiting Oklahoma’s water resources and communities. The Keyes family has a love for ranch life and operates a horse ranch near Purcell, Oklahoma.

Robert’s wide range of business expertise gives him a unique perspective on the challenges facing Oklahoma. He has spent his career navigating and combating the massive government bureaucracy that cripples small businesses and encroaches on private property rights. He has led the fight to protect Oklahoma’s water and energy resources from overreaching government interference.

More than anything, Robert Keyes is dedicated to giving back to the communities in and around Norman. He established a faith-based charity, the Morning Dove Foundation, to help the next generation be prepared for careers of the future. He also launched a before-school Bible Study for Norman Public Schools which now mentors’ students weekly.

Robert and Sandy live in Norman and enjoy a happy home with frequent visits with their three grown children and eight grandchildren and stay very involved in their local church and many ministry and veteran support efforts. They are about to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary.
